POSITION DESCRIPTIONDepartment:ProductionPosition:Compliance Specialist Reports To:Director of Production - WorkflowWork Hours:7am-3pm Various shiftsWork Days:Monday - FridaySalary Grade:Currently UnclassifiedRevised Date:January 31, 2017February 7, 2023Job Functions:
  • *Perform review on verification and comment flagged ISIRs using CORE and SAINT Director (standard term) to ensure file documentation are in compliance with current financial aid regulations and Global policies and procedures* - 90%
  • Task Listing
  • (25%) Timely review of files and supporting documents for compliance with Title IV guidelines.
  • (25%) Timely processing of additional documentation and Urgent request.
  • (25%) Maintain production based on SOP based on experience (6-10 per hour-CORE & 4-6 per hour Awards).
  • (25%) Maintain quality of 95% or higher for CORE and 98% or higher for Awards.
  • 2. Identify and report non-compliance or deficiencies to Team Leader and/or Manager of Production. - 5%Task Listing:
  • (50%) When needed, document and trend performance issues of system.
  • (50%) Report significant trends to supervisor so additional training can be administered.
  • 3. Perform various miscellaneous duties as assigned by department supervisor, manager or director. - 5%Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
    • Knowledge of current Title IV Federal regulations and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of pertinent information for CORE and SAINT Director.
    • Knowledge of Global Financial Aid Services, Inc. operational policies and procedures.
    • Ability to meet production goals established by department head.
    • Effective time-management skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language.
    • Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures required for this position.
    • Ability to use computers to input and export data used in the review process.
    • Adhere to compliance with Federal, State, and Global guidelines.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to move from one task to another without errors.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Skilled in use of 10-keypad.
    • Skilled in use of general office equipment including facsimile machine, telephones, and personal computer.
    • Natural capability towards detailed orientation.
    • Ability to work under deadlines.
    • Expected to carry oneself with the highest level of integrity and work ethic.
    • Work required hours based on needs of the client and Global.

    Educational Requirements: High School graduate required along with college experience or equivalent financial aid experience. Preference to candidates with associates degree or higher.Experience Requirements: Minimum one year experience in related field with preference to finance or financial aid industry.Typical Next Position: Compliance Specialist II or III; Subject Matter Expert.
