About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and strategic thinking Training Manager I to join our team. The Training Manager I will play a key role in ensuring that our business practices adhere to all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compliance regulations within the network marketing sector. The Training Manager I will be responsible for creating compliance tools for Arbonne Independent Consultants in driving the success of the Independent Consultants and fostering a culture of ethical conduct. The Training Manager I will also be involved in the review of sales and marketing materials to mitigate risks associated with regulatory non-compliance. This role will require you to support the Business Ethics & Sustainability Team (B.E.S.T.) in the compliance work that we provide to all the markets where Arbonne conducts business.

Ensure Sales and Marketing Materials are Compliant and Successful

  • Successfully cooperate with team members across multiple departments in reviewing, making recommendations, and finalizing sales and marketing materials.
  • Review sales and marketing assets to ensure the content complies with Arbonne's Policies and Procedures, and the laws and regulations related to the Direct Selling Industry.
  • Review training materials and other presentations from Arbonne Independent Consultants and internal business partners.
  • Review several types and formats of social media content posted on Arbonne corporate social media accounts to ensure compliance.
  • You will be responsible for the B.E.S.T. social media accounts and field communications, and you will be required to successfully highlight Arbonne's Policies and Procedures and relevant legal or Direct Selling rules or regulations, including relevant Industry updates.
  • You will demonstrate a solution-focused and professional attitude, ensuring a supportive work environment with internal business partners and key stakeholders.
  • You will be expected to provide independent suggestions and recommendations to support the successful and compliant sales of Arbonne products.
  • You will be expected to examine business practices and policies to identify areas of noncompliance that need to be followed up on, and then following up on them appropriately.
  • You will be expected to provide recommendations for making necessary changes to business practices, and Policies and Procedures, as needed.

Create and Update Compliance Training Programs and Tools

  • Successfully cooperate with team members across multiple departments to identify, create, and update compliance training programs to meet the training needs of Arbonne Independent Consultants at various levels, from new Independent Consultants to experienced field leaders.
  • Create training that resonates with Independent Consultants at all levels of experience.
  • Provide targeted compliance training programs that enhance Arbonne Independent Consultants' knowledge of Arbonne's Policies and Procedures, Code of Ethics, and the rules and regulations related to the Direct Selling industry.
  • You are expected to stay informed about compliance best practices and regulatory changes affecting Arbonne and our Independent Consultants, and continuously and proactively improve training content based on regulatory changes and evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to recommend and develop compliance training materials tailored to individual market needs, consistent with our brand identity, and to effectively engage with Independent Consultants to ensure training is accessible and easily understood.
  • Proactively measure the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations and suggestions for improvement and curriculum goals through, among other things, participant feedback and other KPIs.
  • Work closely with internal business partners for successful collaboration on creating and finalizing training content and training formats, including the ability to successfully use project management software.
  • Proactively manage the B.E.S.T. training trackers and training programs, review and monitor incoming projects, and ensure projects are timely addressed, including running reports, data, and training analysis. Recommend report improvement and optimization.

Other Duties and Projects Depending on Business Needs

  • Support compliance case management by responding to compliance-related inquiries and policy violations from Arbonne Independent Consultants with a solution-focused and professional attitude, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Be able to successfully spot compliance issues when handling compliance-related inquiries.
  • Be able to successfully conduct audits of Independent Consultant business activities as needed.
  • Support other compliance projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Deep understanding of FTC and FDA guidelines and working knowledge of the network marketing business model.
  • Six to eight years of proven experience as a Training Manager, preferably in a network marketing or direct sales environment.
  • Proficiency in using learning management system (LMS) and other e-learning tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience reviewing sales and marketing materials, policies and procedures, and corporate compliance materials.
  • Working knowledge of the Arbonne Policies & Procedures Manual, Code of Ethics, and SuccessPlan a plus.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must think outside the box, demonstrate the ability to think creatively, and adapt standard operating procedures using professional judgment based on experience and business needs while always adhering to legal requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) with the ability to educate and influence others.
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
  • Must be computer, internet, and social media savvy and be comfortable in a digital workplace. If you have a problem to solve, you often think of how to do it using technology.
  • Proficiency in using all Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Traveling to annual corporate events and conferences may be required.
