Job Description :
Saxon Aerospace is currently hiring Composite Technicians for a 6+ month project in Tacoma, WA.As a composite technician, you will perform composite layup/lamination to wrap and form composite materials to molds.Pay: $45/hr ST; $67.50/hr OTIn addition to hourly pay, qualified out-of-area team members will receive $176 daily allowance for lodging, $1,232 max allowance per week.Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the hand layup of advanced composite materials on designated tooling per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Performs advance composite operations to include trimming, vacuum-bagging, basic repair, material preparation, weighing, finishing, and molding operations.
  • Inspection of in-process and finished product using hand measurement tools and other tests procedures may be required.
  • Record keeping of inspection results where required.
  • Responsible for work orders and time calculations to ensure the quality of the product while providing suggestions for improvement.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years' layup or lamination experience
  • 5+ years' aerospace manufacturing experience
Working conditions:
  • Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting
  • Lifting and handling objects up to 40 pounds
  • Standing for 10-12 hour shifts
