The compounding scheduler will create and maintain the weekly schedules for pre-weigh and compounding based on production needs, tank size, available staff, and available time. Time management, attention to detail and a sense of urgency are necessary for this role.
The compounding scheduler will be responsible for creating schedules for pre-weigh and compounding to ensure the support of production. They will need to stay in close contact with the production scheduler, customer service, and the compounding and pre-weigh departments. They will be in charge of recording and maintaining metrics for schedule related activities. Additional activities include but are not limited to: Verification of on hand inventories, ensuring job sizing is able to be completed withing the constraints of manufacturing equipment, as well as other tasks assigned by the compounding manager.
- COMPETENCIES
- Strong working knowledge of MS office, particularly excel or PowerBi. ERP software experience a plus
- Working knowledge of manufacturing scheduling within guidelines of equipment capabilities and staffing. Experience in metrics/KPI development a plus.
- Detail-oriented
- Must be able to work well under pressure and adapt the schedule quickly to manufacturing variances.
- Working knowledge of appropriate industry regulations
- Ability to multi-task.
- Execution (results-oriented)
- Must have strong verbal and writing skills along with strong communication skills. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish a plus.
- Requires strong working knowledge for fundamental math skills. Working knowledge of statistical methods a plus.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position functions on the production floor and therefore, will experience characteristics commonly found in a manufacturing setting. Characteristics would include (but not limited to):
- frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is a full-time position. The base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day. You may be asked to come in early or stay late on days that schedules are due for submittal
- Overtime notice will be communicated as far in advance as feasible, however, based on the nature of the work overtime notice may be less than one work day at times.
- TRAVEL
- No travel is expected for this position.
- REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of experience preferred.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE SKILLS
- ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- English language and knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- WORK AUTHORIZATION
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a pre-condition of employment.
