Overview:
The position of Pump/Compressor Mechanic is responsible for the operation, troubleshooting and repairs of natural gas engines, compressors, and pumps. This includes engine control systems, computer programs with production and injection equipment. In addition, this role performs preventative/predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, major and minor repairs on equipment, and reporting spills and leaks. Per Diem/ Travel Assistance included.
Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of engines, pumps and compressors.
- Working Knowledge & Experience in the following: H-Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Rod Pumps, etc.
- Working knowledge of ADEM 3 engine control systems.
- Ability to tune and adjust with Caterpillar ET computer program.
- Experience working with high-speed reciprocating Ariel and GE-Gemini compressors.
- Troubleshoot pump & compressor valves, identify and repair compressor packing leaks.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing centrifugal and positive displacement (SWD) pumps.
- Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors and the public.
- Capable of repairing some equipment, such as actuators & level alarms and of changing out fuses, relays, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Oil & Gas mechanical experience with the following: Working knowledge of Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, H-Pumps, etc. and Working knowledge of engines, air compressors, gas compressors and generators.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
