Computer Engineer - TeleConsultants : Job Details

Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is seeking Mid-Level and Senior Level Computer Engineers to join our team in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Configure and test complex wide-area computer networks to include both hardware and software; Hardware includes, but is not limited to, routers, switches, servers, inline encryptors, and modems;

• Troubleshoot networking or design problems;

• Proficient with Cisco routers and switches with a solid foundation in networking.

• Run and trace cables;

• Attend technical meetings;

• Update technical documentation as directed.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience with technical certifications;

• 5+ years of relevant experience;

• Candidates should possess Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician or higher.

Required Experience with :

• Firewalls;

• Virtual environments and automation;

• Linux RHEL;

• Previous experience with ADNS/CSRR or RF Circuits is big Plus;

• Qualified candidates should also possess at least 1 security certification that is Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) compliant;

• For senior level, Minimum of 4 years of technical experience designing Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) or similar networks.

Additional Qualifications:

• Exposure to Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCI/IP), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing protocols;

• Good written and verbal communication; Ability to work alone or in Team environment;

• Minimum of 4 years of technical experience installing and validating Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) or similar networks would be a Plus;

• Some exposure to administering, installing, and troubleshooting ADNS;

• Experience supporting technical projects with a record of successes.

The nature of this position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with occasional travel required within the continental United States.
