Shifts: (2PM – 10PM or 10PM – 6AM; Paid breaks and lunch; two 15-minute breaks and 20-minute lunch)
Things to Expect in Your Machining Center
- Machining work is low volume/high mix.
- Able to call up M&G codes to command CNC equipment (cutting and non-cutting functions).
- Quality Measurement Tools: Mics, Threads, Bore Gages, Calipers, Height Gages, etc.
- Use a Tool Matrix System that has 120 capacity tools.
- Work on multiple axes and paths for complex parts.
- While our client uses Mastercam the most, experience with Fusion, Gibbs, Solid Edge and others are transferrable.
- Able to conduct machine shop calculations.
- Able to make necessary edits, and offset adjustments to programs when necessary.
Your Background
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Extensive knowledge of M&G-Codes.
- Excellent blueprint reading and use of measurement devices.
- Ability to independently set up machinery, select tooling, and measuring equipment to validate compliance.
- Ability to operate CNC equipment and make adjustments as needed.
- Capacity to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
- Basic ability to operate computers.
- Machine Tool Technology Degree preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of valid CNC mill or lathe experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is encouraged.
