Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Computer Specialist to join our team.

Job Overview:

The primary role of the Computer Specialist is to provide technical support throughout the facility. Responsibilities include Service Desk coverage for both emails and telephone calls, documentation of requests and solutions, other customer support issues as needed, maintain network security integrity, office moves, adds, changes, and repairs of telecom equipment, PC hardware and software, preventive maintenance and repair of printers, develop and maintain intranet sites, train users of approved hospital applications, document instruction materials, and act as a backup for IS team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

Log, monitor, respond, troubleshoot, communicate, and escalate all IT related issues in STARS in timely manner.

Set-up of and maintenance of user network accounts to ensure appropriate and approved network security for end users as well as providing training and orientation.

Dell Refresh by deploying computers and software to end users as well as maintaining the inventory database.

Development and maintenance of Shriners Hospital Philadelphia's Intranet website as well as other web applications.

Utilize, load, and train end users in the correct use of approved Operating Systems, Custom Systems, and licensed productivity software including MS Office suite as well as orientation.

Create and deliver telephone and voice mail training as requested.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience

3 years of IT experience preferred

1 year of Network administrator or web programming preferably in healthcare preferred
