Computer Support Specialists - Nexus Staff : Job Details

Job Title: Computer Support Specialists Employment Type: Contract Work Hours: 40 hrs./week Work site: 50% Onsite Location: 1 State Street, New York, NY 10004 Job Duration: 1 Year Closing: 03/29/2024.Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years' experience within Information Security/Cyber Security or related field.

Job Duties:

• Conduct and coordinate Vulnerability Assessment and management.
• Work with Stakeholders to improve Data Classification and Data loss prevention tasks.
• Conduct and/or evaluate Governance and Risk compliance tasks.
• Test and evaluate new technology.
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance security measures.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Information Security Frameworks such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with 23 NYCRR Part 500.
• Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management.
• Proficiency in computer network penetration testing and techniques.
• Familiarity with firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and articulate strategies to avoid them.
• Experience with penetration testing and techniques is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Misc. Information:

• Shift Days/Time: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 37.5-40 hours per week.
• Client does not provide parking, but the office is accessible by bus or subway.
• A background check and fingerprinting will be required, including verification of education and employment.
• Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
• Once training has been provided, Client currently has a 50% telecommuting policy in place.
