DescriptionThe Fredericksburg Field House is currently accepting applications for Concessions Attendant. The Concessions Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding guest service, receiving and processing payments, serving food and beverage items in a timely manner, as well as preparing and cooking food in a timely manner according to menu standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate cash register and Point of Sale (POS) SystemEngage with members and guests to include greeting customersProvide excellent service, build rapport with guests and respond quickly to requestsBuild rapport with members and guestsUpsell food and beverage itemsServe food and beverage items in a timely mannerOpen, close, clean, and maintain concessions areasOrganize, stock and control inventoryPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by supervisory personnel (F&B Manager, Manager on Duty, etc.) and/or the General Manager.RequirementsDisplay strong verbal communication skillsDisplay professionalism in appearance and interaction with guestsDetail oriented and possess outstanding organizational skillsAbility to remain calm and focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentAbility to work in difficult and stressful environmentsAbility to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to remain calm and professional in emergency situationsAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessaryQUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:Minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience, preferably high volume; less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in EnglishAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, as well as make change in US currencyStrong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate highly emotional situations and resolve situations to benefit the company and the guestUpon hire and training, the individual must be able to successfully utilize the facility Point of Sale softwareThis individual must be 18 years of age if the facility sells alcoholic beveragesCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following: Food Handlers Certification (within 60 days of employment)Physical Demands:Standing: Constantly (>66%)Sitting: Rarely (
