Job Description :
Chicagoland Management seeks a Concierge Security Officer for an office building we manage in Chicago's Loop. This position helps maintain a safe, secure, and hospitable environment for both our tenants and guests. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directing guests, tenants, and vendors to their desired location. This position also acts as the first point of contact for all guests entering the building.Responsibilities:
  • Manage the flow of guests, tenants, clients, employees, and vendors who come through the building every day
  • Greet guests and vendors coming into and exiting the building with a smile and genuine enthusiasm
  • Provide information needed to guests who visit the front desk
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby
  • Appropriately handle or reroute incoming requests from tenants, guests, vendors, and other parties
  • Observe/ report activities and incidents to correct personnel
  • Enforce access control and visitor management policies
  • Maintain a safe environment by completing access control, monitoring cameras, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents and emergencies
  • Responsibly use client and company equipment as security tools to monitor and document security activities
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management team
Schedule:
  • This is a part-time position: Monday - Friday, 3PM - 8PM; Saturday 9AM-3PM (31 hours). Please note that an occasional morning shift may be scheduled with advance notice.
Qualifications:
  • Valid PERC Card
  • A minimum of one-year experience in the guest service industry, or other related industry
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to prioritize and adjust actions in relation to the needs of the business
  • Active listening skills and the ability to give full attention and understand what guests are asking
  • Customer-focused approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to gather and provide guests with relevant company and location-specific information
  • Proven success in a Customer focused environment
  • Comfortable enforcing rules and policies
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Capability to walk the office building and its surroundings, which may include stairwells, hallways, and outdoor areas.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying objects such as packages, office supplies, or security equipment (typically up to 25-50 lbs).
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs as part of regular patrols or emergency response.
  • Performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or reaching, such as checking under desks or inspecting areas that are difficult to access
  • Ability to react quickly in case of emergencies, such as evacuations, medical situations, or responding to security threats.
