Concrete Assembler - NESCO Resource : Job Details

This position involves working outdoors. You'll be part of a team making a direct impact on utility systems. As an Assembler, you will primarily pull cables and assist in the assembly of concrete poles. This hands-on role requires working in tough outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures. The assembler will also assist in various tasks and duties in relation to the pole assembly process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• CABLE PULLING
• ASSEMBLY OF POLE
• POLE INSPECTION
• POST-JOB CLEANUP
• USE OF BASIC HAND TOOLS
• READ A TAPE MEASURE
• OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED is highly desirable but not required One year of general labor experience
• The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner
• The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
• The ability to work overtime as needed
• The ability to work in extreme temperatures with exposure to chemicals and irritating particulates
• The ability to recognize and solve problems

HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO POSSESS THESE QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic mathematics (Fractions and Measurement)
• English comprehension (Read & Write)
• More than one year of general labor experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in working with concrete or in a similar manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of reading a tape measure and using basic hand tools.
• Basic mathematical skils to be able to work with decimals and fractions
• Ability to measure using metric and standard system.
• The ability to read, write and follow non-complex instructions (Reading floor prints and blueprints).

DECISION MAKING

• Must be able to voice concerns, provide feedback on production, quality, and safety issues.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable.
• Able to balance; bend/stoop; climb stairs; crawl; crouch; climb ladders; kneel; push/pull
• reach above shoulder; repetitive motion; squat, and feel.
• Complete repetitive movements.
• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.

WORKING SHIFT and CONDITIONS

• Work both inside and outside in heat and cold, wet and humid, and dry air conditions and around dust.
• Work any shift - 6am till 4:30 or 2PM till Finish, typically 11pm.
