Summary

Balfour Beatty in partnership with Fluor have been awarded the $1.7B I-635 LBJ East project in Dallas. Pegasus Link Constructors is a fully integrated joint venture made up of Fluor and Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. with over 17 years of experience working together. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team. The project is a design-build construction project that will improve the capacity and operational efficiency for the portion of I-635 north and east of Dallas, from east of U.S. Highway 75 to I-30.

We are currently seeking candidates to fulfill a Concrete Foreman opening. The Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers. Responsibilities include scheduling work to meet deadlines in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage on-site all activities related to concrete construction on a construction site.
  • Execute Look Ahead Schedules
  • Develop a concrete highway construction plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment needs
  • Lead and manage concrete crew
  • Logistics planning
  • Scheduling construction daily and weekly
  • Execute project work plans
  • Manage crews productively and efficiently
  • Monitor concrete placement and finishing to achieve the desired surface quality and appearance
  • Training crew members
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Experience with overseeing concrete highway construction work, demo, grading, cement treated base, lime and/or other related disciplines required
  • Highway construction experience required
  • Extensive knowledge in concrete mixing operation, pouring, finishing, curing, and working in and adjacent to traffic required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, crews, coworkers, client, vendors, subcontractors and visitors
  • TxDOT construction experience preferred
  • Design Build Experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
