Sets up and tears down tables, chairs, audio visual and other miscellaneous equipment required for functions. Maintains cleanliness of function rooms, storage areas, and equipment following standardized procedures. Displays a willingness to learn audio-visual operational procedures and provide a superior guest experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares function spaces for meetings, banquets, weddings, conferences and other events by setting up chairs, tables, audio-visual equipment and other support equipment and/or decorations.
- Continually strives to ensure a quality guest experience by providing a clean, safe, consistent and secure function space and adjoining public areas.
- Maintains cleanliness of function space and storage areas including floors, windows, ceilings, walls, draperies, as well as individual equipment at all times.
- Willingness to learn audio, video, and lighting operational procedures related to conferences, meetings, weddings, and other events. Existing audio-visual knowledge is helpful, but not required.
- Delivers conference materials to appropriate individuals or areas.
- Delivers luggage to guest rooms and removes at times upon request.
- Interacts with guests with a helpful, positive and cheerful attitude. Willingness to help answer guest questions related to directions, upcoming events, etc.
- Maintain a harmonious working relationship with other employees, maintaining a positive attitude, and taking initiative when necessary.
- Cross trains with other department to ensure maximum job knowledge, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
SCHEDULESchedule includes all shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime as business dictates. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCECandidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Prior experience or education working in events, hospitality, and audio-visual technology is helpful but not required.
