  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New Jersey
  • Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
  • Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • DEA and CDS certification
  • Experience in substance use treatment, behavioral health, or addiction medicine
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical and mental health evaluations, for patients with substance use disorders
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for addiction management
  • Provide counseling, education, and support to patients and their families on substance use, recovery strategies, and relapse prevention
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment
