The selected candidate for this position will manage and document system changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols. You will also work closely with an Engineering Oversight Board to review and approve configuration updates, supporting the seamless functioning of our IT infrastructure.Key Duties:

• Document configuration changes in a commercially available CM package, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Review changes with an Engineering Oversight Board to verify compliance and manage potential impacts on system functionality.
• Manage the lifecycle of IT system configurations, including updates, changes, and revisions.
• Maintain Configuration Management databases (CMDB) for IT assets, aligning with internal and external requirements.
• Coordinate with technical teams to capture accurate configuration details and changes.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• 5 or more years of configuration management experience.
• Proven experience managing configurations of IT systems, with the ability to track, document, and control changes.
• Demonstrated experience using a commercially available CM package (e.g., IBM Rational, ServiceNow CMDB, Jira, or similar).
• Strong capability in documenting changes accurately and maintaining organized records.
• Ability to review configuration changes with an Engineering Oversight Board or similar group, facilitating approval and feedback.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining changes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, ITIL, or PMP).
• Familiarity with configuration management in highly regulated sectors such as government, healthcare, or finance.
• Understanding of ITIL framework, specifically regarding change and configuration management.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve issues arising from configuration changes with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and GDPR in relation to IT systems.
