Job Title: Construction Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Administrator to join our team in Goshen, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working on construction projects. This role involves overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring all project milestones are met.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes. Ensure all documents are properly filed and easily accessible for reference.

- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, school officials, and regulatory agencies. Facilitate regular meetings to discuss project progress, address any issues, and ensure all parties are informed and aligned.

- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures closely. Prepare and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting any variances and proposing solutions to stay within budget.

- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. This includes coordinating with contractors and suppliers to address delays, material shortages, or other challenges.

- Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. Document site conditions and progress through detailed reports and photographs.

- Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those related to educational facilities. Stay updated on relevant laws and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies. This includes assessing safety risks and implementing measures to protect workers and the public.

- Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to junior staff and interns. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Hard Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction administration

+ Proficiency in construction management software and tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms

+ Familiarity with construction standards and regulations

+ Understanding of building codes and safety regulations

+ Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCM, or OSHA certification
