Prominent construction client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Controller to join their dynamic accounting team. As a Construction Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position is open due to a promotion. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, collections, and payroll. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including analyzing WIP (work-in-progress) and ensuring proper control over project costs. Ad hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, leveraging your financial expertise to drive business growth and success. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems. Experience with construction-specific software is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
