Position Overview: A reputable and established Texas-based law firm is seeking a highly skilled Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, with a focus on defect litigation. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex cases and collaborate with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in construction defect cases, including preparation for and participation in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and other attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Handle discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
- Attend hearings and advocate on behalf of clients in court.
- Provide legal counsel and advice on construction defect issues, including contract disputes and negligence claims.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Texas Bar Association.
- 4-8 years of experience handling construction defect litigation or similar civil defense matters.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
