Such businesses include Tech, Restaurant, Super Market, Facility Maintenance, Retail, Specialty and more.Job Responsibilities
  • Gather proposals, construction drawings, and specifications
  • Provide accurate detailed estimates for all projects
  • Review construction documents and understand the scope of work to bid
  • Prepare cost analysis by examining material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs occurred in heavy industry projects
  • Utilize cost methods and data to submit estimates in a detailed breakdown format suitable for use by the project manager and the project team
  • Must have the ability to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc.
  • Flexibility when assessing & bidding multiple projects with the end result of either handing off or executing those projects
  • Maintain lines of communications between company departments, project manager, and client with regards to cost estimating activities
  • Work directly with individuals in the field offices as well as the other departments of the Corporate office to provide support
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying, or related field
  • 3+ years in commercial construction, cost estimating or project management experience
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/construction drawings and determine the scope of work from those drawings
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat), organizational skills, time management, problem solving, accountability, data entry and attention to details are necessary
  • Works well in a fast-paced industry

  • Strong work ethic, detail oriented and energetic
