Pre-Construction Estimator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, motivated estimator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for project take-offs, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and take-off to Director of Pre-Construction and Construction Management Team. You must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to read and comprehend construction plans and specifications. Pre-Construction Estimator Duties and Responsibilities Fulfill appointed tasks in a timely manner. Assess projects by identifying project requirements, regarding time, labor, and material costs. Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimates. Work with Director of Construction to prepare bid packages and presentations to upper management. Recommend cost-reduction options. Maintain thorough records of all project documentation, including estimates and specifications. Pre-Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management or architecture 3-5 years in the construction industry, specifically stick-built required. Pre-construction experience preferred. High knowledge and capability to read and understand construction plans. Knowledge of material take-off formulas and methods required Knowledge in the following software preferred: Microsoft Office Bluebeam Procore Sage/Timberline Ability to operate independently and complete assigned tasks with deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills Time management skills Limited travel potential #LI-DV1
