Construction Field Superintendent - City of Baltimore, Mayor's Office of Employment Development : Job Details

21st Century Schools is seeking to hire an Field Superintendent

Project Site: Frederick Douglass Senior High School Renovation

Baltimore City Resident gets priority hiring for this position.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years as a foreman or superintendent.
• Alternative Qualification:
• An AS or BS degree in Construction Management or Engineering with at least 5 years of progressive responsibility supervising flooring installation projects.
• Or, at least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically with commercial and/or institutional general contractors involved in flooring installation.
• Demonstrated understanding of flooring installation techniques and associated site work methods.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Ability to measure and read plans.
• Familiarity with flooring installation means and methods.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid Driver's License.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones and overall schedules are met.
• Manage and supply installers with materials needed for daily projects.
• Monitor workmanship of installers and maintain positive relationships with them.
• Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules for tracking and proactive management.

Salary Range: 45k – 70K
