Jahnke & Sons Construction, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced traveling site construction foreman to become a member of our team. As a Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising while working alongside crews involved in the installation or repair of pre-fabricated metal and steel buildings. The ideal candidate must have previous Foreman experience, a solid employment track record with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction, 3+ years of experience working as a working foreman. We are looking for a detail oriented leader with contracting experience to lead, motivate and help our team achieve goals and project deadlines. In addition to leading a team, you will be responsible for working hands on with the crew, maintaining budgets, material takeoff, developing project schedules and building relationships with customers. Experience: Construction Foreman: 3 years (Required) Location and Travel: Multiple Locations: This position will require travel throughout the United States on a Full-Time basis. Duration of job sites can be anywhere from one week to four weeks at a time. Accommodations and transportation will be provided. When not Traveling or on a jobsite this position reports to our main office location in Grandview, MO Job Responsibilities Ability to read plans and perform layout. Forward thinking to manage a crew of 2-5 people to complete projects on time and on budget. Complete necessary daily and weekly reporting. Clearly reports progress and issues to the Project Manager. Submit paperwork: time sheets, expense reports, daily reports, progress photos as required. Be the on-site representative for the Company and communicates with the staff at each facility in a professional manner. Ability to assess site conditions, construction and delivery schedules, and when these key factors are not aligned, has the ability to clearly and effectively communicate to company project management, onsite contractor, and when necessary, client Adhere to all health and safety precautions Perform all carpenter skills Job Requirements 3+ Years of Experience as a Construction Foreman Current and Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and background check Hands-on experience in working with construction crews Excellent understanding of managing installation and construction Proficient in using power tools and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Ability to run heavy equipment Good knowledge of English Good understanding of basic math Ability to read and understand construction drawings Must have a strong commitment to job site safety including maintaining a clean jobsite at all times Company Benefits: 401K Matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Physical Demands & Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Must be able to pass a DRUG SCREENING, BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED, MOTOR VEHICLE REPORTS Must have a VALID Driver's license Must be able to pass an MVR (motor vehicle report) screening for approved driving status Must be able to work overtime as needed Regularly use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath Speak clearly so listeners can understand Climb ladders and work from heights as necessary Work outdoors/indoors, subject to changing conditions and temperatures, sometimes exceeding 90 degrees Walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to climb ladders, work from an aerial lift Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, and crawling Work with materials over your head for short periods of time Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
