CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN(Job ID: 44777)Location: US:NH:CONCORDOccupationCategory:47-0000Construction andExtractionOccupationsEmployment Type: FULL-TIMEPost Date: 11/12/2024Close Date: 11/26/2024Salary: 22.500-30.020USDState of New Hampshire Job PostingNH Fish and Game DepartmentFacilities and Lands Division11 Hazen Drive Concord NH 03301Construction Worker /Facilites and Lands Division40 hours weeklyPosition # 8T3371 This position is subject to renew every year$22.50/hour - $30.02/hourThe State of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Fish and Game Department has a full-time/temporary vacancy for Construction Foreman.Summary:Assigns, supervises, performs and provides technical expertise in the maintenance and operation of statewide facilities including, but not limited to, boat ramps, grounds, docks, fishing piers, kiosks, guard rails, toilet facilities, signs, roads, buildings and parking lots.YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Associates degree from a recognized college or technical institute with a major study in civil technology or public works administration, or two years of college with a minimum of six semester hours in civil technology, construction management, or public works administration.Experience: Four years' experience in all phases of maintenance and general construction, two years of which involved directing or supervising groups or crews in maintenance and construction procedures. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.License/Certification: Possession of a valid commercial driver's license, Class A CDL-A, with appropriate endorsements. The applicant's motor vehicle record MVR must meet minimum standards established by the NH Department of Transportation.Special Requirements: Applicant must agree to controlled substance testing as required by the US Department of Transportation, prior to being offered a position. In addition, position requires controlled substance testing and alcohol testing of the following: random, post-accident, reasonable cause and follow-up. An employee in trainee status shall meet the minimum qualifications within the period of time specified on the SJD, not to exceed one year of being hired into this position.Responsibilities:Assigns, supervises and performs facility maintenance including boat ramps, grounds, docks, fishing piers, kiosks, guardrails, toilet facilities, signs, roads, buildings, and parking lots.Supervises and performs construction and installation of signs and kiosks.Develops and implements maintenance plans for department facilities, to include snow removal. Operation of snow removal equipment to include plow trucks and snow blowers; shovel where appropriate and spread salt and sand as necessary to maintain parking lots, sidewalks, etc. in a safe and functional condition.Prepares and oversees contracts for services, equipment and perators with private firms and state agencies.Coordinates special law enforcement details necessary to address maintenance and operation issues of boat access facilities with the Law Enforcement Division.Communicates and works with local officials and the public in order to identify and address issues with maintenance of facilities.Prepares reports on project
