The RoleSupervise and coordinate the work of construction workers on a construction site. Ensure the work is completed Safely, with Quality and on time within Budget.What you will be responsible for:
- Review construction project plans andblueprints and provides recommendations.
- Consults with project engineers, supervisors, and others to identify problems with proposed projects.
- Supervises crew involved in building construction, and repair.
- Ability to use hand and power tools to construct and repair structures.
- Coordinates and oversees activities of workers engaged in constructions, installation, and repair of structures.
- Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly, and erection of structure.
- Assign workers to tasks to size, build, form, erect the towers.
- Ensures safety precautions are followed.
- Inspects work performed by workers, to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on-site, ability to work overtime.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- This position has supervisory responsibilities 25-30 employees
- Up to 80-90% of travel is required Employee must have valid Drivers License and clean driving record. Employee must be able to pass drug screens whenever and whatever type required to enter customer property. Employee must be able to pass Background checks no felonies permitted.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- High School diploma or GED; Five years of General Foreman Construction experience. Also, experience in related activities with industrial equipment construction and repair, including mechanical equipment, piping and structures. Experience that includes supervisory, inspection and coordina-tion responsibilities.
- Competency in reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Computer competency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience as a construction General Foremen on cooling towers or related, maintenance supervisor for power plant, or similar facility.
- Specific experience in scheduling and quality assurance inspections.
