Job Title: Carpenter

Location: North Kingstown

Pay: $24/hr. (depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Carpenter will be responsible for building and installing structures and fixtures into rail cars. They will also be responsible for following the directive given by management and reporting daily progress reports. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read blueprints.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Install new hardware as needed.
• Construct and install structures as needed in rail cars (walls, tabletops, door frames, closest).
• May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more.
• Other mechanical duties as assigned.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Notifies supervisor of any faulty equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
• Wears and uses required protective equipment while working.
• Takes responsibility for own safety while on the job.
• Work overtime as needed.

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Carpentry experience (documented)
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process.
