Job Description :

This position shall oversee as well as perform construction site layout tasks to ensure the Under slab, aboveground, and overhead phases are accurately prepared for the Construction Installation Teams. The position shall also be integral in improvements in existing and new VDC and Field Technology to further drive digital twins into our operations.

· Assist Engineering, BIM/VDC & Field in developing a new Construction Layout workflow.

· Assist Division Managers, Designers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Crew Leaders on project layout and execution.

· Represent the company at design, kick off, and progress meetings.

· Plan, set up, and maintain layout control for assigned construction project(s).

· Establish reference points for under slab, aboveground, overhead, and finishes on various Projects.

· Help Verify existing conditions are shown on drawings before layout and prior to construction.

· Layout column center lines and wall locations for electrical / structural supports systems.

· Coordination and identify interference with other trades on projects and lead the resolution processes.

· Work with QA/QC and field personnel to help verify that all completed work has been installed per plans, specifications, and layout.

· Perform as-built surveys to verify correct placement of work and help develop record drawings

· Check slab for elevation and alignment prior to concrete pours.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • 1-5 Years' Experience in the use of Robotic GPS equipment/Surveying in Commercial Construction industry is a plus.
  • AutoCAD MEP/Revit Software is a plus. (Will provide on the job training)
  • Good Mathematical and Critical Thinking Skills that relate to the use and operation of Robotic GPS equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints and project specifications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and strong diligence while meeting aggressive project schedules.
  • Must be an initiative-taker, with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

Equipment and Computer Software Requirements

  • · Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore & other Project Management Software
  • · Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • · Trimble Connect, Robotic Total Stations, Autodesk Point Layout
  • · Auto Levels/Lasers
  • · Trimble GPS/machine control and/or Drone Flying experience preferred

Job Type:

Full-time, In-Person

Pay: Commensurate Per Experience Level

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.
