Collins Engineering, Inc. offers an exciting opportunity for a civil engineering or construction management college student to gain hands-on experience doing construction management projects. Our Milwaukee, WI office has an opening for a Construction Management Inspection Intern position for the Summer of 2025. You will work with professional licensed engineers that are inspecting construction activities, scheduling, and monitoring projects, as well as testing materials, documenting contract quantities, and creating reports using data collections from the field.

Your impact on real life projects includes the following but not limited to:

* Responsible for monitoring contractor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.

* Perform daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

* Assist in the completion of reports.

* Measures and records pay item quantities.

* Documents field conditions, contractor progress and issues.

* Assist with coordination with contractor foreman or superintendent.

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* Junior or senior working towards a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university, or associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management

* Previous software experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blue Beam, or Civil 3D is a plus.

* Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.

* A valid driver's license.
