Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a Construction Manager, within our Aviation Team. This opportunity is available at a client site, located in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
* Lead daily direction-setting meetings including safety contract/toolbox talks pertinent to the work being performed
* Review contractor proposed field change orders for accuracy, back-up detail, and assist with negotiations before submission to client
* Review bids and negotiate final costs to ensure requested scope is included and covered in bid costs proposed
* Responsible for building project schedules
* Receive and review engineering bid packages and build for distribution to bidding contractors
* Assist with defining an overall site safety plan including client notifications, vehicle routes, pedestrian routes, emergency vehicle routes, and local response team routes
* Ensure equipment received has been properly logged into the client's equipment receipt log by construction management staff or internal systems
* Oversee discipline specific contracts
* Verify that construction conforms to specifications in contract documents and applicable standards
* Assist with submittal review, and request for information review and response, to the contractors to maintain a consistent flow of information to maintain schedules
* Prepare and maintain project documentation for turn-over to the client at the end of the project. This may include red-lined drawings, photos, equipment manuals, etc.
Successful candidates will have the following:
* Bachelors degree in construction management related field -OR- a minimum of four years of directly related experience working on Airport construction projects -OR- Associates degree related and a minimum of two years experience
* A valid driver's license with the ability to pass Mead & Hunt's Vehicle Safety Program
Ideal candidates will have the following:
* OSHA 30 and understanding of measurements, construction methods, construction equipment, and applicable building standards

Salary Range: $95,000 to $115,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
