Title: Construction Manager

Summary: The Mechanical Construction Manager will play a key role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project budgets.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and oversee the planning and execution of construction projects from start to finish. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Safety and Quality: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites. Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards. Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency. Procure materials and equipment as needed for construction projects. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project. Communicate project progress and milestones to clients. Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and project specifications. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead construction teams, including foremen and laborers. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members. Estimating: Independently prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including detailed material take-offs, labor and equipment costs, subcontractor bids, and other project expenses. Ensure estimates are comprehensive and align with project requirements. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and project records. Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management. Problem Solving: Identify and address project issues, challenges, and obstacles in a proactive and timely manner. Implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 8-10 years of proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- 5 -10 years experience working with industrial piping within the construction industry
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS - Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
- When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
- Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.

- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
