Construction Manager - Lynchburg, VAInfrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is actively seeking a talented and motivated Construction Manager to join our team in support of infrastructure projects across Virginia. This pivotal role focuses on managing and expanding our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) work while fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and business partners.
Responsibilities - Lead project pursuits and execution, including construction oversight and project management.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate projects and maintain effective client relationships.
- Negotiate fees and review contracts to ensure project alignment.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and BOX.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities to guide project teams effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Completion of pre-employment screenings.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in asset maintenance and/or civil construction, with a focus on transportation (DOT experience preferred).
- CCM desired.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work directly with clients and prospects.
Physical Demands: While working in the office, this position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 50 pounds. The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Must have visual acuity to recognize/change/add precise details on CAD drawings.During fieldwork, the position entails moderate physical exertion, encompassing walking, standing, bending, and ascending stairs or ladders. The employee may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Fieldwork exposes inspectors to various environmental conditions, including but not limited to loud noise levels, dust, dirt, and temperature fluctuations. Inspectors must adeptly navigate construction sites and conduct thorough inspections of materials and structures.
Expected Hours of Work - Full-time role (40 hours/week), typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
