We are looking for a skilled Construction Materials Technician to join our team for a high-profile project in Austin, Texas. The technician will report to the Project Manager on-site and will be responsible for testing concrete to ensure compliance with specifications and prevent potential material failures. This position involves concrete and asphalt inspection and testing.

Responsibilities

+ Test concrete for compliance with project specifications.

+ Conduct concrete and asphalt inspection and testing.

+ Verify that materials meet required standards to prevent failures.

+ Utilize nuclear gauges for testing purposes.

+ Conduct soil testing as required.

+ Work on an on-call basis as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in construction materials testing.

+ Proficiency in concrete and asphalt inspection.

+ Ability to use nuclear gauges for testing.

+ ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I.

+ ACI certification in Concrete Strength Testing Technician.

+ NICET certifications in soils, concrete, and asphalt.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in industrial construction projects.

+ TWIC certification is a plus.

+ Knowledge of cement and concrete construction methods.

Work Environment

The position involves working in the field, primarily on the Tesla project in Austin, Texas. The technician will be testing concrete and other materials on-site. Standard holidays and vacation policies apply as per the company's guidelines. The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility for on-call duties.
