Spyder Construction is a full-service general contractor specializing in large loss insurance restoration, structural repairs, capital improvement, and roofing projects for commercial and multi-family properties.   • The Operations Manager oversees and is responsible for the daily operations of construction projects with a strong focus on ensuring superior quality, safety, and project delivery. The Operations Manager is a mentor and coach for our field team with a strong focus on streamlining processes and aligning operations with company objectives. This position reports directly to our COO, which creates a balance between strategic oversight with hands-on, tactical project involvement for operational efficiency and team development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Directly responsible for the organization's Field Operations team, inclusive of Project Managers, Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, and Foreman.
  • Leads weekly production meeting to ensure alignment on project updates, deliverables.
  • Oversees revenue forecasting and timely completion of financial projections.
  • Regularly conducts site visits to ensure projects are progressing according to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Utilizes and develops best practices for safety procedures, quality, scheduling, and budget adherence.
  • Maintains construction methodologies and procedural knowledge across the team.
  • Leads Field Operations team as a mentor, coach, and trainer for field personnel; constantly fostering leadership development and professional growth.
  • Serves as the escalation for project related issues; removes roadblocks and provides solutions to avoid project delays.
  • Aligns resources and goals for Project Managers prior to project mobilization.
  • Monitors and evaluates project performance through regular project reports (daily / weekly / monthly, etc.)
  • Fosters vendor and subcontractor relationships to strengthen our network for ongoing and future project work.
  • Attends client meetings as a committed representative of our company.
  • Is committed to promoting a culture of continuous improvement, risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager and Training Manager on a regular basis to determine upcoming business needs.
  • Responsible for personnel matters including hiring, development, and performance management.
  • Adhere to employee expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Operations Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 8+ years managing 25 or greater employees within the construction industry.
  • Proven skills in field management, organizational management, time management, and leadership.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite Tools, exposure to schedule software.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and independent thinking.
