Bargaining Unit: EA Rate of Pay: $46.63/hour + DOE Summary Under the Direction of the Manager of Facilities and Construction the Project Manager leads the planning, procurement, execution, closeout and occupancy of a project. The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising all project steps and coordination, with the assistance of the department Manager and Director, to ensure the Districts' best interests and project goals are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of bid documents and the bid process, including preplanning activities and validations.
- Assists in the development of project timelines and budgets.
- Executes the project timelines and work plans.
- Administers projects according to approved plans, specifications
- Responsible for the coordination of jurisdictional approvals.
- Coordinates District staff, design and contractors meetings.
- Coordinates the activities of various levels of assigned personnel and project contractors.
- Responsible for organizing multiple tasks with conflicting priorities, delivering the desired results on or below budget and successfully meeting deadline.
- Implements Capital Construction budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, certification and project oversite.
- Ensures proper documentation.
- Communicates effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of constituents.
- Implements District construction policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university, in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering or any type of Engineering degree that covers multiple disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, safety, etc.; 3 or more years relevant experience Required Licenses/Certifications Valid Driver's License in good standing - Upon hire Other Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA) Associate
Preferred:
- DBIA Professional
- Experience in healthcare construction environment
Computer/Business Skills Ability to use office machines. Extensive knowledge and ability to use word processing and other Microsoft Office programs. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
