The Project Manager manages the construction crew workload, is a customer facing position, and manages the aspects of Buried Fiber Utilities & Aerial (Poles & Anchors, Equipment, etc.). This is a customer facing position which requires attention to detail, multitasking, and a strong ability to create relationships. The Project Manager represents the company as a Liaison between Supervisors and the Customer at scheduling meetings and manages the workflow of all work projects issued by the customer. What you'll do: Manage change order work completion process ensuring that work is pre-approved, not to overextend the company. Generate revenue with positive expected margins for the company. Timely scheduling of workload, reports of job forecasting, interfacing with the customer regarding appropriate scheduling and employee's work assignments Timely and accurate response to customer technical problems and for adherence to contractual obligations to maintain and install customer equipment. Ensure key issues of cost, time, quality, and customer satisfaction. Ensure company databases are kept current and accurate. Working with the Municipalities and executing the permits. Responsible for cross functional coordination with construction operations team to ensure build schedule alignment with customer priorities. Review and implementation of key performance metrics (Build production / Overage Job Management / Market Productivity / etc.). Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies. Customer Escalations / Roadblock Mitigation Hours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer needs in compliance with any regulations; on average - must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. Weekend work/Overtime is dependent on workload. Who we are looking for: Two years of wireline outside plant construction project management experience Proven customer-facing project management experience Proficient with Microsoft Office and other systems as needed, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.), and Word Proven Strong Data Manipulation Skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, etc. in the accomplishments of goals and objectives. Demonstrated understanding & utilization of work in progress reports and be able to accurately forecast work 90 days in advance. Demonstrated effective Management of Construction Crew workload. Construction Print/Blueprint interpretation and site layout Familiarity with OSHA regulations Valid Driver's License Ivy H.
