Position Overview:

InnoActive Group are leaders in providing project management and technology advisory primarily in public agencies and Fortune 500 entities. InnoActive Group has managed various construction and technology projects ranging in size from small projects to multi-billion-dollar capital programs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee and lead multiple public works projects including tenant improvement, renovations, and civil projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, knowledge of MEP systems, and a proven track record of managing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of public works projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring clear communication with all team members and clients.

Procurement and Contract Management

  • Lead and manage public procurement processes, including the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and other solicitation documents.
  • Oversee the review and evaluation of vendor proposals to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance with public procurement regulations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring all terms and deliverables are met while mitigating risks.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and staying within financial constraints.
  • Review and approve invoices and manage payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and track project expenses and take corrective action to avoid cost overruns.
  • Ensure contractors are in compliance with payroll requirements and are following Department of Industrial Relations laws.

On-Site Management & Quality Control

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Ensure all facility members and contractors follow the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Ensure successful project and financial close out and create notice of completions upon completion of projects.

Client Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress, timelines, and budget.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports, highlighting milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external parties, ensuring contracts are adhered to and timelines are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, designs, and codes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and processes, including familiarity with public contracting requirements.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Experience with construction software Bluebeam is a MUST, knowledge of e-builder is a plus.
