Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.

This is a contract role for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate construction projects in line with schedules, budgets, and specifications.
  • Supervise construction sites and contractors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Review and approve Safe Work Permits and conduct daily safety briefings.
  • Coordinate site activities with the Prime Contractor's Site Superintendent and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure construction projects meet contract requirements, technical specifications, and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections, maintaining records of test and inspection reports.
  • Identify, mitigate, and monitor construction-related issues, ensuring efficient problem resolution.
  • Enforce adherence to legal regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Maintain and update Statements of Work (SOW) and construction documentation, ensuring contract obligations are met.
  • Develop relationships with reliable contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Plan and schedule construction operations, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Respond promptly to project delays, emergencies, or disruptions, implementing effective solutions.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
  • Conduct pre-startup inspections and maintain Pre-Startup Checklists to ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to management.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction methods, including utilities (pipeline experience required).
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, construction contracts, and building codes.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling methods and quality control processes.
  • 5+ years of industrial construction experience, with a focus on oil and gas projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, and hazard mitigation.
  • Ability to resolve project challenges efficiently and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors and stakeholders.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Training or equivalent.
