CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee federal projects. With a minimum of 10 years of experience, the ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of federal regulations and compliance, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Problem solving and strong communication people skills are a must.

What You'll Do:

  • Project Leadership: Manages integrated Design-Build (DB)/Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams from project inception through completion, including during pursuit phase if requested with the goal being to ensure alignment with the organization and client.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with federal agencies, internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure cost control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, guidelines, and security standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports, ensuring transparency and effective communication with all stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience managing federal projects, with a proven ability to deliver complex initiatives successfully.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred; additional certifications such as PgMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma are a plus.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal regulations, compliance standards, and procurement processes (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Clearance: Background check, active security clearance or the ability to obtain one, depending on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with construction contracts for DoE, DoD, DHS, GSA, or other federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools for project management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing small- and large-scale state or federal programs.
