Bast Hatfield has been named a Top Work Place by the Times Union for 11 years running. We need to add experienced superintendents to support substantial under-contract backlog and growth/succession planning for those retiring. Most of our work is within an hour of our office - be home every night!

If a job requires extended travel or overnight shifts, incentives are substantial.

Crew Foreman or small construction business owners with a few years under their belt are encouraged to apply!

Primary Work Activities

• Supervise site activities for all phases of construction
• Coordinate in-house and subcontractor labor
• Coordinate material deliveries
• Understand scope to spot change orders
• Support submittals/RFIs with field knowledge
• Track safety, productivity, and crew time via daily reports
• Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and in-house project management staff

Qualifications

• The desire to pursue a long-term career as a leader
• 5 years minimum experience working in a leadership role within the construction field for commercial projects
• Public works project as a GENERAL CONTRACTOR a plus
• Hands on field experience also a plus. Carpentry, concrete, masonry, ironwork, related
• Moderate computer skills for daily logs, timesheets, emails, accessing plans & specs
• Ability to read & interpret drawings, complete as-builts; set grades/levels a plus
• Good interpersonal skills

This position is being added for GROWTH, under-contract backlog, backfill for promotions and upcoming retirements.

Compensation

• Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications. VERY GENEROUS COMPENSATION for the top tier individuals we hire.
