Job Description :
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale civil engineering projects, including road paving, transportation infrastructure, and commercial site development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in managing drainage systems, grading, and roadway construction. This role is critical in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget while meeting the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities for road paving, site development, and drainage projects.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and all site personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track progress and resolve any on-site challenges.
  • Prepare accurate documentation, reports, and updates for stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead regular site meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing civil engineering projects such as road construction, transportation infrastructure, or large commercial site developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials related to paving, grading, drainage, and roadway systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and project plans.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • OSHA certification or other relevant safety credentials is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • On-site work at construction locations, often outdoors and exposed to various weather conditions.
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required, depending on project schedules.
