The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate and manage all phases of construction.

Description

  • Project Oversight: Direct all on-site construction activities to ensure project completion according to plans, specifications, and schedule.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the on-site construction team, including subcontractors and laborers, to create a safe and productive work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with local building codes, company standards, and project specifications.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work site for all personnel.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the project management team, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and successful project milestones.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, minimizing delays and cost overruns.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically with commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred.
