Site Manager - Superintendent Location: Indianapolis, IN Compensation: $90,000 to $115,000 (Depending on Experience) The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project schedules, contract documents, and quality standards. This role serves as a key liaison between contractors, owners, architects, and project teams, ensuring seamless execution of all site operations. Key Responsibilities Construction Administration & Management: Provide day-to-day oversight of contractor activities to ensure compliance with schedules and contract documents. Assist the Project Manager in creating the guideline schedule and developing the site logistics plan. Set up and maintain the job site office, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment. Conduct daily QA/QC checks and maintain comprehensive daily reports. Project Coordination: Develop and maintain the CPM master schedule, publishing it by the third progress meeting and updating it monthly. Schedule and lead pre-installation meetings to review quality control standards and coordinate work. Expedite submittals from contractors and assist in updating the submittal log. Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors and ensure timely responses from architects. Coordinate with owners and contractors to maintain operations while minimizing disruptions. Safety & Compliance: Conduct weekly safety inspections and ensure all safety documentation is up to date. Instill a culture of safety on-site with a goal of zero injuries. Report and document accidents using the required incident reporting process. Meetings & Documentation: Organize and lead progress meetings; prepare and distribute meeting reports within two days. Maintain a submittal log and ensure lead times align with the schedule. Track material deliveries and report progress in meeting minutes. Quality Control: Review shop drawings prior to installation to minimize on-site issues. Develop a pre-punch list to address potential issues before the architect's punch list. Ensure punch list completion within 21 days with no open items upon project completion. Financial Oversight: Review and approve contractor payment applications monthly based on actual project completion. Track and manage change orders, allowances, and proceed orders, ensuring payment is only authorized for approved items. Assist in maintaining overall project and owner budgets. Client Relations: Build and maintain a positive relationship with the owner's representatives and attend meetings as necessary. Provide timely updates to the Project Manager on changes or conditions impacting schedule, cost, or quality. Additional Duties: Participate in community organizations and associations as part of corporate social responsibility. Identify potential projects and provide insights to the marketing team. Adhere to company policies and procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience in construction site management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
