Job DetailsJob Location Hyannis, MA Position Type Full Time Education Level Not Specified Travel Percentage Road Warrior Job Shift Day Job Category RISE Description As the Construction Supervisor you will be responsible for providing project management leadership during design and construction through to final close out and project turnover. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide daily management of construction projects, including management of project budget and schedule for energy efficiency projects.
- Regularly monitor construction progress and costs incurred versus budget/forecast, and maintain a forecast of remaining costs and schedule through to project completion.
- Manage vendors, subcontractors, and any site superintendents to ensure safe, efficient project delivery within budget.
- Interface with customers to coordinate on-site activities and report on progress to ensure implementation at least meets if not exceeds their expectations.
- Secure and review subcontractor and vendor bids to determine implementation team and schedule while ensuring cost-effective, timely implementation.
- Coordinate with design team to ensure final design meets scope requirements while maintaining budget, performance requirements, and customer requirements.
- Manage project expenditures and cost accounting processes.
- Assist development team with defining scope, estimating cost, material selection, and project scheduling.
- Maintain current information on available technologies and equipment, including pricing and availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements.
Supervisory Responsibility: Will lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of others, such as site inspectors or other subcontractors. Education and Experience:
- MA Construction Supervisor License required.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management preferred.
- 5+ years of Commercial Construction Management/Site Rep Management experience in Energy Efficiency or Renewables construction, or other related construction fields.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing and coordinating multiple, complex or a variety of projects.
- Demonstrated skill in organizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines and balance priorities consistent with Company strategies and goals.
- Ability to adapt quickly, self-manage, have proactive work skills to problem solve, and be a team participant.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to utilize a variety of computerized devices for a prolonged period of time.
- Answering the phone throughout the day every day.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Climbing ladders, climbing stairs.
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain.
- Driving.
- Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches
- Able to judge depth, have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This position requires the employee to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment. Position will entail exposure to outside work, dusty environments as well as sedentary work. This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 6:00am-3:00pm. Hours may periodically include nights and weekends determined by the needs of the department. Travel: Frequent local travel expected for this position.
