Construction Surveillance Technician - Redeployment : Job Details

POSITION: Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

DETAILS: On-Site; Full Time

Redeployment has been hired by an 8(a) acquisition and software/systems engineering firm that specializes in utilizing engineering principles and custom software technology to improve efficiencies, control cost and maintain schedule which empowers business, government and commercial organizations to perform at their highest capability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assesses, identifies and communications recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems. Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.

• Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.

• Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.

• Follow and enforce customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.

• Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps to support final accreditation packets.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members. Other certifications are a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years of experience in construction. Security experience may supplement up to 2 years of construction experience if the security experience is directly related to SCIF construction or physical security.

• Must be familiar with the sixteen (16) standard divisions of construction. Must have construction experience.

• Must hold a valid certificate for the successful completion of a Forty (40) Hour or greater CST training course. This position requires the candidate to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities for long periods of time.

• Must have a solid understanding of the ICD/ICS-705.

• Construction trade certificate (electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.) – preferred

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI, ICD 104 Eligible
