Construction Worker II - County of Champaign Forest Preserve : Job Details

The Construction Worker II is responsible for performing a variety of general construction duties for all Forest Preserve District facilities. SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS - The Construction Worker II reports to the Construction Manager. A Construction Worker II may assist in supervising the daily work of Construction Worker I, seasonal employees, interns, and/or volunteers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Essential Functions Represent the Forest Preserves in a professional manner and follow rules of conduct. Must also be able to demonstrate good safety awareness and judgment; must work around general population; and work under supervision and direction of supervisors. Inform appropriate authority if the public or employees are in danger. Perform carpentry, plumbing or electrical tasks to advance facility construction, maintenance and repair.
