Position OverviewCiviTronix is seeking an experienced, results-driven Remote Consulting Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated engineer with a strong technical background who thrives in a remote work environment. As a Consulting Engineer, you will provide expert advice, design support, and project management services on a wide range of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to provide innovative solutions and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consulting expertise on civil engineering projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, and land development.Collaborate remotely with internal engineering teams to develop technical designs, plans, and reports for a wide range of projects, including stormwater management, site development, and highway design.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct thorough analysis of design solutions and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with regulatory standards.Lead the preparation of project deliverables, including design documents, technical specifications, and permitting applications.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects within established parameters.Perform virtual site inspections, review field data, and offer technical support for project implementation.Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure best practices are consistently applied.Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure in the near future.Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on consulting and project management.Strong expertise in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and codes (local, state, and federal).Proven experience in managing projects remotely and coordinating with teams across different time zones.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to clients and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Experience in stormwater management, environmental engineering, or transportation design.Knowledge of GIS, project management software, or other engineering tools.Previous experience working remotely for an engineering firm.Pay rate: $45.00 - $52.00 / hour
