The Role

Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Consulting Principal to join our journey. We're looking for a Consulting Principal who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development.

In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Senior Consulting Leader, bringing logistics expertise to the consulting practice and our clients.
  • Own and develop a book of business and actively engage in business development efforts.
  • Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering.
  • Establish/build strong & trusted relationships with clients at CXOs & senior client stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance and solutions to clients in the road transportation industry.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of clients' current transportation operations.
  • Identify and recommend market opportunities and operational efficiencies for clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements.
  • Define product/platform strategies focused on Transportation Planning and execution.
  • Partner with client leadership to manage the product vision and roadmap.
  • Define high-level solutions and prioritize roadmaps.
  • Work with program management and Agile teams to align on priorities.
  • Manage and escalate risks and concerns, communicate updates to clients.
  • Lead business value creation from the development and implementation of product capabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Support and develop a long-term vision for the practice.
  • Build and develop strong thought leadership across key topics in transportation & logistics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of highly dynamic & talented consultants.
  • Partner with recruitment to attract high caliber consulting talent.
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
    • 15+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Transportation and Logistics.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
    • Have a proven track record of delivering successful consulting projects.
    • Display a deep understanding of the automotive sector.
    • Be adept at using data analytics to drive decision-making.
    • Hold a relevant certification such as PMP or Six Sigma.
    • Be capable of working effectively in a hybrid work model.
    • Exhibit strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior team members.
    • Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes.
    • Ability to travel if needed for business requirements.
