Clerks and Tax Examiners perform a variety of administrative and customer support duties associated with tax administration.
If you have one year of clerical, office, or other similar general work experience (paid or unpaid) or college-level education, you may qualify. These entry-level positions do not require you to have prior federal employment or tax experience.
At our Kansas City, MO, in-person hiring event, we will be offering full-time, seasonal positions on day and swing shifts. Full-time, seasonal positions are typically offered in a six-to-eight-month season and may be extended. As a seasonal employee, if you are released during the off-season, IRS will call you back at the start of each new season, so you do not need to reapply.
