Job SummaryIn conjunction with the Management Team, provides strategic leadership in the identification, development, implementation, and monitoring of activities that drive continuous improvement and operations excellence.Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Partners with management team to optimize the operation's processes, and to ensure linkage to the company's financial goals.2. Under direction of management team, coordination + implementation & follow-up yokoten of continuous improvement projects to improve effectiveness, quality, delivery, ergonomics and cost relative to all aspectsof manufacturing including material handling, space utilization & overall production system.3. Collects, analyzes, and reports on data from all production-area continuous improvement activities.4. Space Planning for the identification of available and required future space via kaizen projects whileemphasizing overall part flow within the facility.5. Researches systems and processes and identifies and develops analysis and recommendations to implement tools, processes, and infrastructures to achieve best practices and optimize efficiencies.6. Participates in and/or leads various teams (IMPACT, PIT, TQIT, Special Project, etc) to integrate and/or reach consensus on processes.7. Communicates with management, engineering, and other CI professionals to ensure that best practices are shared across the organization.8. Upon request, acts in place of the Industrial Engineer and/or Manufacturing support in his or her absence or heavy workloads9. Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline2. 2 to 4 years of Industrial Engineering or related manufacturing experience3. Strong Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the following areas:a. Knowledge of the organization structure and each department's functional responsibilities.b. Understanding of line and facility layout, assembly line balancing, and material flow in highvolume,just-in-time production environmentc. Organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skillsd. Problem-solving and analytical skills using prescribed methodologies and toolse. Computer skills for technical & business writing - proficient in using basic business softwarepackages (including MS Office)f. Written and verbal communication skills with presentation abilities.g.
