Summer Continuous Improvement Internship Opportunity at ProAmpac

As a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Intern, you will work closely with our global operations team to improve our automated visitor kiosk system, develop safety training and a training schedule, and optimize data tracking processes. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement within the manufacturing facility.
  • Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct time studies and process observations to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, majoring in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes and propose efficient solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
